Jeep CJ7
Week of November 6, 2006 This CJ7 belongs to a local customer, who brought his Jeep to us for restoration. It had some rust & minor damage in the body. The customer wanted new paint, a sprayed-in bed liner, seats & accessories installed. He also wanted a custom built Chevy 383 Stroker motor installed.
Week of November 13, 2006 This week we concentrated on tearing down the Jeep. All front sheet metal, motor & transmission, and tires & wheels were removed. The last picture shows the condition of a previously installed rolled-in bed liner. It was pealing away in spots due to improper preparation.
Week of November 27, 2006 Rusted areas were cut out and welded with new hand made patch panels. Damaged areas were dollied to the original shape and skimmed with body
Week of December 4, 2006 The body was painted Viper Red and a spray-in bed liner was applied. The frame and axles were painted Chassis Black. The roll bar was textured coated. The transmission and transfer case were resealed. The steering column was refinished. New parts & accessories were received for reassembly.
Week of December 18, 2006 The new Chevy 383 Stroker motor was installed along with the transmission and transfer case.
Week of January 1, 2007 The new dash and wiring harness were installed.

Week of November 20, 2006 These pictures show the rust, damage and areas of concern on the body. The body was sand blasted & stripped of its old red paint.
Week of January 8, 2007 We have completed the majority of our part of the restoration. It is now off for exhaust and a trip to the motor builder's shop for engine components, before coming back to us for a new top and final wiring. To be continued...
